best buddy?

theres this best buddy. i often call. my best buddy.
for the past few years. before we are what we are now.
we were strangers. at a certain point. when technologies were advanced already at that time.
teret-tet-tet starts on the mobile phones of these two teens.
yes yes. this buddy of mine. we were young. we were friends. we still are ok? so no worries.
reminiscing those times that we often share stories with each other.
it was like.. hey.. you know what? this.. this.. this..
and you know what? that.. that.. that..
it was always this and that.. this and that..
exchanging stories were our favourite thingy.. i guess?
and how thoughtful you were.. everytime encouraging both buddies to study well to have a bright future.. so as to achieve and fulfill our dreams..
we were best buddies..
time passed.. and has things change?
maybe that is my presumption?
or so it is true?
what about now? what happen to the "this and that" moments?
our conversation used to last like.. till we couldnt stop talking..
do we have limitations now? are we restricted to have conversations with each other due to the fact that the buddies have their own partners and not wanting to upset their partners that they're setting their priorities straight?
why is it so then? that when we are seen from afar..
now.. when it gets to you.. instead of those casual conversations we used to have have just turned into a simple "hi" and "bye"??
this i couldnt understand. or have we both grown up?
that our minds now are too mature till we're blank and have nothing else to say but just silence?
these were the thoughts that were on my mind.
are we still what we were back then?
to me.. you've always been a best buddy to me..
every memory we've shared during our high school moments will always be cherished..
a best buddy you were..
a best buddy you are..
despite the distance and the silence..
a best buddy you will always be..
