how many of us appreciate what we have?
how many of us still feels unsatisfied with what we have?

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. 






As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning  of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said,"with all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at  his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. 



He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the page.As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation and the words.. 

 How many times do we miss
 God's blessings 
because they are not packaged as we expected?

indeed. dont we do that every single day of our lives? we eat everyday. we pray every single moment. we love. mmhhmm.

dont we just love eating? well. do we live to eat or we eat to live? that is the question. so much food everywhere. you cant stop yourself from eating. if only.. if only eyh? if only you could just eat without even growing. silly bastard hormones. they actually make us grow. well you know what they always say. we are what we eat. do you agree? i aint no professional specialist who gives advices on what to eat and what not to eat. i guess it is true though. it seems like the generation nowadays aren't aware with what they eat. you cant blame them can you? the food looks too tempting. those fried chicken thigh and drumsticks. those delicious fried noodles. 1 kilo burger. mmhhmm. nyummy. that thick chocolate mousse cake. omgah. dont it taste so good? everyone's busy now with their own thing. 24 hours a day sounds long but it isnt enough is it? everyones on the road already by 6am sending their kids to school and off to work by 8.30am. adults will only be end their work by 5.30pm and pick kids up from school say half past six? thats like almost dinner time. sense the obvious no? by the time they reach home everyone feels tired. hence, everyone buy their food home to eat. whatever food that can be served fast. gahh! were all rushing for time now arent we? so much to do so little time. we are what we eat. so yah. we do need to have a balance diet. its been awhile since i last touched my science or biology book. we used to learn the 7 classes of food and what happens to us if we are lack of them and the vitamins.such a very long long time. 


have you ever asked yourself how often do you pray in a day? how often do you go to church? how often do you actually spend quality time with God and talk to Him? its easy for us to find time to talk with our family and our friends. its easy for us to hold our mobile phones 24/7 to text and talk on the phone for endless hours. have we ever wondered if it was easy to do so why cant we do that as well to God? we always take Him for granted huh? i have to admit; i take Him for granted. i remember during my highschool days i had strong faith in Him but now? where have my faith gone to? we take Him for granted that when we're happy we tend to forget Him and ignore Him. however, we seek for His help whenever we feel upset, down or whenever we are in trouble. how shallow our minds are dont you think? i quote Elizabeth Gilbert, 

“There's a reason we refer to "leaps of faith" - because the decision to consent to any notion of divinity is a mighty jump from the rational over to the unknowable, and I don't care how diligently scholars of every religion will try to sit you down with their stacks of books and prove to you through scripture that their faith is indeed rational; it isn't. love. a four letter word with a huge ginormous feeling. oh yeahh! what is love? who do you love? Elizabeth Gilbert says: "People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.” through my perspective it really is difficult to define the word love. try to google the definition for love. too many definitions and non of them actually is right. i mean its also a feeling which is quite difficult to describe but when you do fall in love only then you will know. others say love hurts. why love hurts? its not love that hurts us. we allow the person whom we love to hurt us. thats why some say love hurts. love doesnt hurt. without love, theres loneliness. what hurts most? loneliness or love? when a person just broke up from their relationship they tend to blame love. you cant blame a wonderful thing. imagine the world without love. imagine a family without love. yes we do argue. in relationships. friendships. siblings. it is because of love we forgive. am i right? whats worst? we tend to blame love because we felt rejected. we loose the person we love. sometimes we gotta be mature and open up our minds and hearts to face reality; love is the only thing that covers up all the pain and makes us wonderful again. its funny how the newbies handle their relationship especially at a very young age. they tend to break up due to some silly little mistake or fight. oh gosh! sometimes you just wana wake them up and slap them so they'll realise. being in a relationship isnt easy. thats one of the most important thing a person has to know before committing themselves. a relationship isnt a game where you can pull yourself out just like that. it isnt. why cant we be like the older generations where they seem so faithful with each other and that "the one and only" actually meant so much in their relationship. they had their fairytale and still held strong throughout their thunderstorm whatsoever. now thats a fairytale and a story to tell our dear grandchildren how we held for so long despite the obstacles we actually go through. going through all those obstacles together would make us realise how important we are. sometimes its destiny. sometimes its fate. we dont know actually how a person falls in love with the other. God has plans for us. each and everyone of us. things dont work with one. maybe he has another one waiting for the other. funny how when we get our hearts broken we learn from our mistakes and we learn to stand strong and firm. isnt that our last option? we need to get back up on our feet after a great fall. thats all.

depression

what is depression? tell me. have you ever had a depression? what exactly are the symptoms of depression? why do we actually feel depress? what causes depression?

i have a friend who might have happened to suffer from depressive disorder. maybe it aint so major. just minor depressive disorder perhaps? i mean. i feel she doesnt actually wants me to understand but even if i want to could i even understand her? i believe that when a person says "i understand" it actually means they understand because they have been in that situation and most likely being in the other party's shoes. it started when she told  me of her personal family problems which was quite upsetting which add up to the fact that more problems just came tumbling down and it was like as if the world was against her. it made me wonder. why does she have to live life this way? what did she do till she had to suffer this way? shes only a girl. what could she possibly do that she deserves this kind of pain? sometimes we wonder. is it worth praying? however, who are we to ask such a thing? it does sounds wrong but we cant help it that we tend to ask the Man up there. is it a blessing in disguise? if it is why so? a total bummer. doncha think? 

well sometimes all we can do is to just feel sorry for them and lend them our shoulders for them to cry on. have you ever felt that you could actually do something much more that could actually take their pain away? life's a bitch sometimes dont you agree? i mean. every single time i go out whether im at a supermarket or at some little cafe have a sip of my drink i wonder what are the stories behind all those people around me. do they have problems too like we all have? are they actually happy with what they have? are they even satisfied with all the riches they've got? its amazing how we, humans, do not actually have a perfect life and we're all living in this imperfect world with imperfect lives. even such perfectionist tend to fall at times but still get up from their fall. 
wouldnt it be nice to hear the stories from strangers and how you can learn from them? its funny to think about those who are wealthy but when you actually look deep inside they have problems too while we always thought that the poor would feel worst. despite not being wealthy they have such high morality and respect. ive always thought of this. in my mind. when im able to love someone, he doesnt actually have to be rich to please my family and i. he doesnt need to buy me all those expensive clothes and bags; jewelries and expensive dates. tell me. would you date someone who is rich yet have a snobbish attitude? would you? all i ask for; for someone who is rich- at heart. he may not be rich now but then again we will grow together and slowly build our future. it doesnt matter whether we need to start small or how long it takes for us to be successful together. patience is virtue. why rush when we have all the time we have? though now we are already at present and we're always rushing for time. sighs.

when im depress i calm myself down and read quotes. thats all. when i need to cry, i cry. why would you be ashamed of crying? everyone has feelings. we are only human. so what? its self motivation and it helps me to get off my feet from my fall. i guess it works for me but i have no idea about others.

well well well. here i am. after for such a long time. where have i gone eyh? its now the month of june and time has been passing by quite fast. very well then. imma gonna blog about my journey for the past 5 months. i have no idea where to start but i am going to blog about it. from chapter to chapter. theres too much to talk about but i'll get through it. do you know when its almost the end of the year where everyone has their new year's revolution? wait. cut that out. revolution.  i meant resolution. (i really need to go back to school) as i was saying. yes indeed i had my new year's resolution for 2012. to find a job. i have no idea where i got the guts but i figured why not? its not wrong is it to find a job and work when i have such a very long holiday before i start uni again which will be in the month of september? 
i had a feeling that prolly i wasnt allowed to work outside but what the heck. i just went over to Bing Coffee and asked for the vacancy form. well of course i did get the job (i passed the interview) and i was quite excited and anxious on my first day of work. for the first 3 weeks you could actually learn so much. it was a very good experience and i was exposed to customer service and how we're actually supposed to prioritize the customers; right or wrong. other than that acquaintances and friendships were made. definitely it was worth working there. NO its not about the boys. please? oh gosh. work is work. what does work have to do with boys? for goodness sakes. lotsa memories while at work and many were photographs were taken. so its nice to look at the pictures and reminisce those moments.

we have privacy too you know? i was about to leave Bing Coffee as it was my last day and i got a phone call from my cousin early in the morning at work. she just called to say she couldnt work anymore at which i actually thought she was joking. well to my surprise she wasnt actually joking. she had an accident at 3am and she was at the hospital as she was on the phone with me. terrible accident indeed. she had a major injury. she fractured her pelvic bone. 
OUCH! PAIN! 
i know. she couldnt walk. very very very sad.

well all of us manage to visit her 2 days later as i had another program with my other friends
(i'll blog about it later on).

we were all once strangers. we come from different backgrounds and not so much of age differences.
but then again despite our differences, we understood each other

5 stages of Grief

  • Denial
  • Anger
  • Bargaining
  • Depression
  • Acceptance
The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief. Not everyone goes through all of them or in a prescribed order. Our hope is that with these stages comes the knowledge of grief ’s terrain, making us better equipped to cope with life and loss.

this triggered. as i was watching one of the episodes of the Revenge series. is it really true? does it actually happen to everyone whenever they lose anyone by death? of course. you begin to pause and wonder. the stages of grief. there may be possibilities. there may be impossibilities. boom. feels like as if someone pulled the trigger towards me. oh gosh. i remembered how i lost my late grandfather. its as clear as ever. how everything felt. how all of us cried until there were no more tears left. i remembered how my grandmother fought and was in denial. how some of us actually had anger in ourselves. how we all quietly bargained so he could stay a lil while in this world with us. how all of us were depressed with his absence and how we missed him dearly. and how it took awhile for us all to accept his loss and his absence. and how we all managed to pull everything together and move on with life. it was quite difficult for us though. however, this is life. somehow, someday everyones gonna leave this world too. its He that determines our path. all we need to do is live life by surviving and praying. sounds easy but we're all struggling with our lives. 

ever wondered how or what if we were able to talk to the ones on the other side? a special mobile or something that connects the line to the other side. we would be able to know how they are and how it is on the other side. we would be able to seek them for questions and answers. how lovely would that be? life can be a bitch itself cant it? everyone wants answers dont they? 

all those science freaks say 2012 will be the end of the world. well what are we doing here still? living our lives as normal as ever. most people take things for granted. yes we all wana die. but no one wants to go to hell. however, do they even pray? saying is easy isnt it? but do they ever walk the talk? or are they just plain words? isnt it as similar to relationships? when the partner already has so called "the-one" they go looking for another one due to their stupidity. they'll only realise later on and regret wanting to come back, crawling and begging. diamonds dont just come that easy honey. please. you find 'em and keep em. not throw em back in the sea for some other snorkelers to find that pretty lil diamond.
